Donovan worked for the Moore Store for  29 Years.  

He began as an assistant manager at the Jackson Ohio  under Tom Quadore. Moores Store in 1948.

In 1949 Don moved to Chillicothe,Ohio and worked as an assistant Manager under Merlin Phillips.

Don then worked in Hillsboro, Lancaster and Gallipolis each for two weeks ! Then he worked in Athens for about 1 week as a relief manager.

In 1950 Don moved to Logansport,Indiana and became a store manager.

In 1951Moore's opened a store in Lafayette,Ind.And Don moved there.

Moore's had three different stores in Lafayette, 

During the time in Lafayette, Don and his wife got tickets to WLW-C channel 4 in Columbus to see the Sally Flowers Show.

Moore's sponsored the show, and since Don worked in the Lafayette store, Don was briefly on the air with Sally Flowers.

Sally pointed Don out in the audience and we belief Don spoke about Moore's.

We sure would love to see that episode, huh ?

In 1960 Don moved to Tiffin, Ohio as Moore's opened a few stores there. Don worked at both of them at a time.

Then a store was opened in Logan, Ohio in 1966.Don remained there until the stores closing in we believe it was 1977.

Tom Quadore from the Jackson store came to work with Don after all of those years, helping Don get ready to shut down the Logan store.

Moore's was a great company And they had a great man as manager !
